This Privacy Policy describes the policies and procedures of Pixel Script Uganda Limited (“FinderAfrica”, “the Company”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our”) on the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use our Service. It also tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

By using FinderAfrica, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

In short: We only collect data necessary to provide our business directory services. We never sell your personal information to third parties.

1 Interpretation & Definitions

Words with initial capital letters have defined meanings. The following definitions apply regardless of whether they appear in singular or plural form:

Account

A unique account created for you to access our Service or parts of our Service.

Application

Refers to Finder Africa, the software program (mobile app and web application) provided by the Company.

Company

Refers to Pixel Script Uganda Limited, Kirabo Complex, Bukoto, Kampala, Uganda.

Cookies

Small files placed on your device by a website, containing details of your browsing history and preferences.

Country

Refers to Uganda, where the Company is registered and primarily operates from.

Device

Any device that can access the Service — computer, cellphone, or digital tablet.

Personal Data

Any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.

Service

Refers to the Application or the Website (https://finderafrica.com) or both.

Service Provider

Any third-party company or individual employed by the Company to facilitate, provide, or analyze the Service.

Usage Data

Data collected automatically from the use of the Service or its infrastructure (e.g., page visit duration).

Refers to Finder Africa, accessible from https://finderafrica.com/

The individual accessing or using the Service, or the company/legal entity on whose behalf such individual is acting.

2 Types of Data Collected

Personal Data

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you, including but not limited to:

  • Address, State, Province, ZIP/Postal code, City

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. It may include information such as your Device’s Internet Protocol address (IP address), browser type and version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

When you access the Service via a mobile device, we may automatically collect the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, and other diagnostic data.

Information from the Application

While using our Application, with your prior permission, we may collect:

  • Information from your Device’s phone book (contacts list)
  • Pictures and other information from your Device’s camera and photo library

We use this information to provide features of our Service and to improve and customize our Service. You can enable or disable access to this information at any time through your Device settings.

FinderAfrica allows you to create an account and log in through the following Third-party Social Media Services:

  • Google
  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • LinkedIn

If you register through or grant us access to a Third-Party Social Media Service, we may collect Personal Data associated with that account, such as your name, email address, activities, or contact list.

You may also share additional information with us through your Third-Party account. By providing such information, you give us permission to use, share, and store it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

4 Tracking Technologies & Cookies

We use Cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Service and store certain information. Technologies used include beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Service.

  • Necessary / Essential Cookies — Session Cookies administered by us. Essential to provide services available through the Website, authenticate users, and prevent fraudulent use of accounts.

We never sell your data. Your personal information is never sold to advertisers or data brokers.

We retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your data to the extent necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period, except when used to strengthen security, improve functionality, or when we are legally obligated to retain it for longer periods.

Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company’s operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. This means information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of information represents your agreement to that transfer. The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

You have the right to delete or request that we assist in deleting the Personal Data we have collected about you.

Our Service may give you the ability to delete certain information from within the Service. You may update, amend, or delete your information at any time by:

  • Signing in to your Account and visiting the account settings section
  • Contacting us directly to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information

Please note that we may need to retain certain information when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.

Business Transactions

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.

If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
